This picnic area is located on the Gijzenstraat in Kleine Brogel in the Dommel valley.

The Dommel valley is without a doubt a pearl in the Kempen, ideal for a varied and relaxing walk. You will find alder marsh forests, hay meadows, meadows, small fish ponds, reed beds and much more. The higher parts consist mainly of fields lined with wood edges and some pine forests. This wide variety of landscape types results in many different animal and plant species.

Kleien Brogel is best known for its military airport and also for the alleged storage of nuclear weapons.
