The Hélios swimming pool is a public building in the city of Charleroi located on Montigny Street in Charleroi. It was built between 1970 and 1976 by architect Jean Yernaux. The pool is designed and constructed near the Hélios nursery and the small ring road. The construction of the Hélios swimming pool, designed by architect Jean Yernaux, was decided by the Charleroi municipal council on March 12, 1970. Initially, it was planned to build a pool of only 25 meters, but the city later decided to construct an Olympic-sized one.
