Musing and snacking on pears

Halfway up the slope, this resting bench invites you to rest. You have a beautiful view of centuries-old fields, the green ribbon of the valley and if you look closely you can see the tower of the Church of Our Lady of Tielt. The bottom of the path along the edge of the forest is sandy, the loam has been washed away and here and there you can see pieces of brown iron sandstone. A little further there is a small pear orchard as a harbinger of the large fruit plots in Meensel-Kiezegem, further south.
