The Station Building in Staden can be rented by anyone: associations, private individuals (as a private person), and commercial entities (organizations with profit as a goal).
During WWI, line 63 was used to transport ammunition to the front line in Ypres. During the war, the station building for passenger transport was destroyed[2]. The current building served as a storage space for goods transported by rail.
Today, the building is owned by the municipality of Staden and is rented out as a multifunctional hall to residents[3]. At the level of the station building, the Vrijbosroute is interrupted and the original tracks are still visible. Cyclists need to take a small detour to continue cycling.
