Eglise Saint-Andre - Winamplanche

In 1710, the residents of Winamplanche received permission to build a chapel .

Construction ends in 1714, but it will not be inaugurated until 1729. She took up part of the rectory's current garden. The parish of Winamplanche was founded in July 1842 . It includes Winamplanche, Marteau, Haftay, Vieux Pré and Sur le Thier. It depends on 3 municipalities: La Reid, Spa and Theux.

As soon as he arrived in his new parish in 1843, Pastor Chevolet realized how dilapidated the original chapel was . He will then make every effort to secure a new property. However, it will have to wait until 1854 before the Conseil de Fabrique approves the plans for the new church by architect Delsaux. Construction was awarded in 1857 to the contractor Jacques Monville who lived in Sur le Thier. It was in December 1859 that the new building was consecrated. It was founded under the patronage of Saint André .

The church, like the primitive chapel, is provided with 2 bells .
