This picnic area is located on the Oude Diestersebaan near Park Blauwe Meer and the Ford Lommel Test Tracks.

Ford Lommel Test Tracks (Lommel Proving Ground or LPG for short) has been the main test track for Ford of Europe since 1965 . The track was built in 1965. The total length of the test tracks is 100 km . The annual test distance is between 5 and 10 million km.
In addition to test tracks, there are also climate chambers , fresh and salt water baths and the like.
On September 7, 2019, a world record was broken. More than 1,300 Ford Mustangs form a procession of several kilometers long. The record attempt was made on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of this American car.
