Description

The chapel of Notre-Dame de la Salette was built in 1849 by the Anciaux family.

In the year 1846 there was an apparition of Mary to two shepherd children in La Salette, recognized by the Catholic Church.

Since then, La Salette, a small village in the municipality of La Salette-Fallavaux near Grenoble , has become a true pilgrimage destination.
