This chapel belongs to the castle of Sainte-fontaine.
It was built in the twelfth century in Romanesque style. It is surrounded by a cemetery and a remarkable yew hedge.
It was first dedicated to the Blessed Virgin and raised to the rank of parish church during the last quarter of the 14th century . It retained this function until 1820, when it fell to the rank of chapel of the church of Pailhe, village that used to be the head of the municipality.
Due to lack of maintenance, lightning strikes and some acts of vandalism, this remarkable property has gradually deteriorated. In 2019 it was decided to restore it and in 2023 the chapel will be under construction.
