The jetty in Sint-Martens-Latem, in a beautiful bend of the Lei e is the place to be.
From here you have a super nice view of the Leie . The sun is also present here all day long . In the late afternoon or towards dusk it is nice and quiet.
Especially if you bring a picnic towel, it is a chilled place to have an aperitif, to sunbathe or just to spot boats and view nature. A nice bonus: there is usually an ice cream cart at the weekend!
Directly opposite is the nature reserve 'Keuzemeersen' , so ideal if you fancy a walk . This is a small loop (the path speaks for itself), but you can combine it with a walk to Afsnee and Drongen.
