This chapel is located on the corner of the Rue du Vieux Comté and the Sentier de la Place in Mourcourt.
In the chapel there is a small Lourdes Grotto with a statue of the Virgin Mary and the text "Je suis l'immaculée conception" (I am the Immaculate Conception).
The Immaculate Conception of Mary is a dogma of the Catholic Church that states that Mary was conceived and came into the world without being stained with original sin .
Mary was conceived with an immaculate soul in her mother's womb, according to Anna tradition. The purifying effect of the future redemption through her Son Jesus Christ was already applied to her soul by God beforehand. According to Catholic belief, the special election of Mary meant that she is the only human being in all history whose soul has never been stained with any sin , not even original sin.
The dogma of the Immaculate Conception is often confused with another dogma : that of Mary's virginity - this concerns the birth of Jesus, without prior intercourse with a/her husband.
