This chapel stands at the crossroads of the Rue Marie Renard after which it is named, and the Rue le Bas
This beautiful chapel is dedicated to Saint Joseph. It borders the buildings of the former miller (the windmill). He had stiff competition when the miller (of the steam mill) came up against him and used water from the fountain to run his mill.
Marie Renard became mayor of Thimougies in 1922, succeeding her brother. She was appointed by the king as the first female mayor of Belgium.
