Description

This early 20th-century building is one of the best-preserved city theaters in Europe.

The “Schouwburg” auditorium is the largest space in the complex, featuring a skylight designed by Parisian multimedia artist Jean-Michel Alberola. The artwork references the universe, stars, planets, the sun, and the moon. The “arena theater” is used for smaller theater productions, poetry readings, screenings, lectures, and receptions.
