This chapel from the 19th century was added to the former convent of the Poor Clares.
The Clairissen were admitted to Tournai in 1628 and lived successively with the nobility and then in a refuge on the rue Saint-Piat. Since 1837 they have been installed on the Quai Taille-Pierre, in a house that is part of the old Clos des Récollets , to which new construction has been added. The Récollets themselves had replaced the Friars Minor who had been founded in 1240 in a home of Walter de Marvis.
