This is a former stopping place for parish processions , replacing the original resting place in the courtyard of the former monastery of the Récollets.
This potale was built in 1805 by the Bernard family.
According to some, the wooden Christ that stood in this potale was originally that of the chapel of the Monastery of the Récollets de Sougné, saved before the building was sold as a national asset by the young French Republic in need of money; according to others, this Christ was copied to match the original. Anyway, the current Christ replaced him because he was so badly damaged.
