We continue our way through the park and walk past the pond and a five-meter-high replica of Michelangelo's David, made for the World Expo in Brussels in 1910. Before we reach Castle Den Brandt, we walk via steps to the picturesque Villa La Chapelle and the picking garden of the city of Antwerp.
"This was originally the gardener's house of Castle Den Brandt. The Kreglinger family had it converted into a cottage according to a design by architect Jozef Hertogs. In 1962, the villa was sold to the city, which leased it out. It is currently rented to a business."
