Next to the Heidberg Monastery stands a statue of Jesus carrying a cross on his shoulders.
It is out of gratitude from the Rekollektinnen sisters for "the extra protection 1940 - 1945".
The cross represents victory over sin and also that the Christian life is characterized by joy, peace and power. At the same time, there is also suffering. The cross represents God's love and plan of salvation , which was accomplished through the suffering of Jesus.
