House of Nature is the gateway to the Bosland on this journey: pines that gracefully dance to welcome the walker. In Lommel, they know how to pamper you. Just a bit further, even more beautiful curves, but now made by human hands. We sniff around House of Nature by landscape architect Will Beckers. A stunning gateway to Bosland in orange-red corten steel. The shape? Our film memory flickered briefly to the shape of the spaceship from Alien; another section in the gray matter evoked an armadillo. But this sculpture is based on (the ripples of) a sand dune. Shifting dunes: dunes that move through the landscape by the wind, but in a different timeframe than the fleeting nature of humanity.
