Description by the author

Not immediately a hard (because not through dune sand) walk. The course is largely paved but will introduce you to the nature and architecture of Oostduinkerke. This coastal municipality is of course also home to shrimp fishermen on horseback. UNESCO has included shrimp fishing on horseback in Oostduinkerke, a district of Koksijde, on the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Every year during the last weekend of June the Shrimp Festivals take place. When they take off, you can find it on the website below.
