You should take this walk in early spring, because around mid-April, the fragrant white and pink blossoms on the fruit trees transform the landscape into a fairytale setting. Stroll beneath the fluttering blossoms along cobblestone paths and dirt roads to the charming villages of Oplinter and Sint-Margriete-Houtem. As lovely as they look now, the fighting here was fierce during World War I, when the Belgian and German armies clashed here. After your walk, relax on the terrace at the Viander recreational park.
