The Flandrien loop in South Mile Country is the real deal. It was chosen as the course for the 100th World Cycling Championships for a reason. Beyond Leuven, you pedal into a landscape that shows no mercy. Unless you allow yourself a moment's rest in a cycling café, of course. You find yourself on heroic slopes like the Moskesstraat in Terlanen, the Smeysberg in Huldenberg, the Bekestraat in Eizer and the S-curve in the heart of Overijse. You won't have time to catch your breath, because the next bend is already waiting for you there, and who knows what's behind it? A circuit where you write your own cycling history. As often as you want, because the Flandrien loop is just long enough to do it a second time. Or a third. How often will you succeed?
