Koeheide walk (Bertem)

Near Bertem is a pearl of a nature reserve: the Koeheide. It is an area of great natural and cultural-historical value. The Koeheide charms with its mystical hollow roads, impressive landscape with wide views, and the beautiful nature. There are still many rare animals such as the viviparous lizard, the European hamster, the yellow bunting and the blackthorn page. As far as mushrooms are concerned, the Koeheide is a top European area, you can find variegated species that are very rare or no longer found anywhere else.
