Sports Centre Demervallei is the main starting point for the three loops Langdrop, Rillaar, and Gelrode. The green loop runs through one district of Landorp, with three residential areas, east of Aarschot at the border between Kempen and Hageland. You cycle through the valley of the Demer and over the Bosberg, a hill ridge in Hageland with typical Kempen vegetation, flat land, and dune landscapes. The blue loop of Rillaar runs along the northern border of Hageland, located south of the Demer. The highlight is the singletrack climb of the Leiberg at the start: one of the steepest natural slopes in Hageland. The outskirts of the village are partly forested and allow mountain bikers to enjoy a vast rolling landscape. The red loop follows the meandering left bank of the Demer through the Vorsendonk forest to the picturesque Gelrode, located southwest of Aarschot. Here, you will encounter some Hageland hills that require good fitness and a considerable dose of riding skill.
