AzureJosyne Van Vlasselaer, wife of Aert van Beethoven, was born on the hamlet of Berg-Heide (Kampenhout). She was a fifty-year-old mother of four children, who was burned at the stake as a witch in September 1595 on the Brussels Grand Place after prolonged torture. She was married to Aert van Beethoven, ten years her senior, who was powerless to watch the loss of his wife and the confiscation of his property. Josyne was an ancestor of Ludwig van Beethoven.
The neighborhood committee of the Bergse Heide mapped out a nightly walking search with three stops for a snack and a drink.
