A variant of this walk

This beautiful walk of the three valleys is located in the "High Fens" and this is also noticeable by the many waters that flow through small streams and rivers to the river "La Warche".

We parked the car at the church of 'Xhoffraix' to walk counter-clockwise. Along the banks of a picturesque stream, the walk descends into the valley of the river 'La Warche'. A quarry is located on the bank of 'La Warche'. We leave this one on the left (right) to follow the river that flows quickly. On the left and right, one can see small streams, coming from a higher area, feeding the river.

The walk follows 'La Warche' to the mouth of the peat river 'Ruisseau de Bayehon' in the river 'La Warche'. This stream is known for its 'Bayehon Waterfall'. Once past the waterfall, a crossing is made by swampy roads to the valley of the river 'Pouhon' which we follow until we arrive at 'Xhoffraix' in an ascending line via closed meadows. This last part really needs to be followed on the line. The path is not very clear and prairie closures can only be crossed in a few places (narrow passage or over the fence).

In short, a beautiful nature walk with lots of water, lots of mud, bridges, narrow paths and a bit of adventure. In any case, we enjoyed it.

A variant of this walk

This beautiful walk in the three valleys is located in the "High Fens" and this is also noticeable in the large amount of water that flows through small streams and rivers to the river "La Warche".

We parked the car at the church of 'Xhoffraix' to walk counter-clockwise. Along the banks of a picturesque stream, the walk descends into the valley of the river 'La Warche'. A quarry is located on the banks of 'La Warche'. We leave this one on the left (right) to follow the river that flows quickly. To the left and right, you can see small streams, coming from heights, feeding the river.

The walk follows 'La Warche' to the estuary of the peat river 'Ruisseau de Bayehon' in the river 'La Warche'. This stream is known for its 'Bayehon Waterfall'. Once past the waterfall, a crossing is made by swampy roads to the valley of the river 'Pouhon', which we follow until we arrive at 'Xhoffraix' in an ascending line through closed meadows.
