Modest Huys (°25 October 1874 and + 30 January 1932) was a painter from Olsene. The Lys and harvest and fairground scenes were his main sources of inspiration. After the First World War he travelled through the destroyed front region and painted a series of rubbish insights. This 7 km long walk runs along paved paths and you pass places that played a role in the life of this Lys painter.
