Breathtaking walk from one of our most beautiful villages**** in Walloon Brabant.

The Église Saint-Martin*** (10th century), one of the oldest in Walloon Brabant, is worth a visit by itself. At km 0.5, you pass by 2 rue des Brasseries, which is the house of singer and musician Julos Beaucarne, who has placed a commemorative plaque on its facade with the inscription "Passage du vélo Volant." Following that are the sunken*** paths and the open plateaus*** in succession. At km 1.7, you pass the Chapelle Saint-Corneille*** (15th century) with its centuries-old oak. The adjoining buildings*** are listed as historical monuments and deserve a closer look. At km 2.8, there is the intersection of Ferme des Biches, from where the panoramic view**** is stunning. After that, you remain in the highlands and walk along the Meerdael forest***, just a stone's throw from Flanders. At km 6.0, you pass the Chapelle du Rond-Chêne, surrounded by two imposing linden trees.

Note: On December 7, 1863, at 11:30 AM, a meteor weighing 14.5 kilograms fell on the side of Rond-Chêne. The sound of the explosion could still be heard from afar.
