Total altimeters: 2000
1) Bru Coast (9km)
Altitude difference 4.1% / Maximum (500 m) 5.8% / Length 6.6 km / Altitude 266 m
https://www.klimtijd.nl/beklimming/cote-de-bru
The Côte de Bru is a completely unknown climb for many. The ascent shares the first part with the more famous Côte de Lorcé, but soon follows its own path. An impressive altitude difference of 266 meters and more than 6 kilometers of almost non-stop climbing; Statistics don't lie. After leaving the Côte de Lorcé (just before the hairpin bend, keep left), the quiet road gradually climbs and not too steep through the valley. The road surface is in poor condition here and there, but the beautiful setting makes up for it enough. Beautiful chunks of forest, rocks and a babbling stream make this climb a feast for the eyes. In the last kilometer, two hairpin turns indicate the most difficult part of the climb, but nowhere is it really steep. A real rise for diesels.
2) La Levée (25km)
Altitude difference 5.2% / Maximum (500 m) 7.5% / Length 4.8 km / Altitude 252 m

The Rising is an excellent alternative to the monotonous Ancient Barrier and with which it only shares the last piece. The ascent begins just northeast of Chevron in the river Lienne, at the exit towards Rahier. The beauty of the alley is immediately noticeable here. In peace, you can ride here regularly. At the first house, you turn straight. Officially banned from entering. The asphalt is of poor quality, but the road winds wonderfully through forests and up the edge of grasslands. Arriving in the hamlet of Froidville, follow the largest road straight. From there, the road continues to climb slightly along the edge of the hill in a straight line. The result is a magnificent view of the hilly landscape. Arriving at the T-junction, keep left towards Trois-Ponts. These are the last 2 kilometers of the ascent of the Ancient Barrier.
3) Aisomont Coast (38km)
Altitude difference 4.7% / Maximum (500m) 7% / Length 4.8 km / Altitude 226 m
https://www.klimtijd.nl/beklimming/aisomont
The Côte d'Aisomont is the northwestern variant of the Côte de Wanne and is the longest, but easiest version of this Coast. The ascent begins at Three Points. Due to the constant climb percentage, it is a particularly pleasant climb. Ideal not to overload the engine. But as Hinault once said, every climb is difficult, it just depends on how fast you climb it. The ascent begins at the best frietkot in the region. Follow the signs to Wanne, getting lost is almost impossible. It barely climbs along the track here, but a good percentage of about 7% is used at the station. After the track, you will also be treated to a beautiful hairpin turn and you will drive slowly through the forest. The kilometer after is a little exaggerated, but when you arrive in the hamlet of Nouprez it becomes visibly easier. From here, the road winds slowly upwards through beautiful grassy slopes. With slopes around 5%, you have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful nature. The summit is located next to the ski slope, just after the village of Aisomont.
4) Mont-le-Soie (49km)
Altitude difference 6% / Maximum (500m) 9% / Length 4.1 km / Altitude 247 m
https://www.klimtijd.nl/beklimming/mont-le-soie
Mont-le-Soie starts from Grand-Halleux just like the Côte de Wanne, but climbs a little further south to a huge equestrian center on a plateau. The climb is mainly characterized by the absence of real turns and a feeling of sleep, but should not be underestimated at all. More than 4 kilometers, the percentages do not fall below 5%, an ideal climb to really empty (or empty your cycling friends). In Grand-Halleux, take the road towards Vielsalm and take the exit on the left towards Mont-le-Soie in the village in the bland bicht. The next kilometre you climb below an average of 7% through a beautiful open hilly landscape. Towards the forest, it becomes even more difficult. After that, it becomes easier but goes up in a straight line quite monotonously. Here you can empty yourself completely. It seems that it takes forever to reach the top. A large open field on the right betrays that you are almost there. The summit is at the riding school.
5) Lamonriville Coast (72km)
Difference 4.8% / Maximum (200m) 8.1% / Length 4 km / Altitude 189 m
https://www.klimtijd.nl/beklimming/lamonriville
The coast of Lamonriville and the coast of Ronxhi are parallel to each other from Bellevaux to the plateau south of Malmedy. The Côte de Lamonriville is the more common ascent of the two. Due to the even character, this is a great climb to test the legs. On the main road in Bellevaux towards Malmedy, take the exit towards Ligneuville. After a few hundred meters of easy climbing, turn left towards Lamonriville. Here, the level of increase of an average of 7% is slowly started. in the bucht Lamonriville follow the road on the left. You feel like you're almost at the top of the set, but you'll keep going for a while. The summit is opposite the village of Hedomont.
6) Tros Marets (first part) (82km)
Altitude difference 4.2% / Maximum (500m) 8.1% / Length 4.4 km / Altitude 195m
https://www.klimtijd.nl/beklimming/tros-marets
The ascent begins in Bévercé, also known as the starting point of the Ferme Libert. However, the ascent of Tros Marets (also known as Mount Rigi) continues to follow the main route to Eupen. Immediately after the village, the ascent begins smoothly. Soon you make a nice cork bend on the river. The ascent climbs on a very friendly slope. If there aren't too many cars on the road, it's really nice here.
7) The North Rosier (104km)
Elevation 4.9% / Maximum (500m) 7.3% / Length 6.1 km / Altitude 302 m
https://www.klimtijd.nl/beklimming/rosier-nord
The northern variant of Le Rosier that starts from Spa is an ideal training climb. Due to the length (more than 6 kilometers) and continuous slopes (on average 5%), this climb is ideal for testing. Moreover, during this ascent, you suddenly understand what "power" means. Something that is not always immediately clear outside the Alps. In addition, the ascent winds on a fairly quiet road through a beautiful forest. A real winner. The start of the climb is in the middle of Spa and is not easy to find. At the valley station of the mountain train, take the exit towards Creppe. At the (good) snack bar, you immediately turn left onto the Green Square. Follow this road until you pass under a railway viaduct. This is the beginning of the ascent. Through the villa district, we slowly exit Spa. As soon as we are in the forest, a beautiful part of the climb begins. With a number of beautiful hairpin bends, the road winds through a refreshing forest. From time to time, you pass beautiful country houses worth thousands of carbon bikes. After the hairpin turns, the difficult part of the climb begins. The percentages are the same, but the road doesn't make any turns here anymore, so you have less idea you're climbing. And you have to pedal 2 kilometers here before reaching the top. Keep cycling and you've done 300 altimeters. At the T-junction, a little after the summit, comes from the left the East Rosier (the most difficult variant) and straight the South Rosier (easy climb in the long term).
