Rugenbräu is a brewery in Matten near Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland. It has been family-owned since its establishment.
The origins of the company date back to a brewery with a distillery built by the Grand Councillor Christian Indermühle from Kiesen in 1866 on the Gasthausmatte of the Hotel Interlaken inn. After his death, his sons Carl and Albert took over the brewery and created the Felsenkeller in Rugen, a mountain near Interlaken, in 1875 for beer storage.
