Gingst is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen on the island of Rügen in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The municipality is administered by the West-Rügen office based in the municipality of Samtens.
Gingst is located about 12 kilometers northwest of Bergen auf Rügen by Koselower See bay. The island of Ummanz lies in front of the municipality. Gingst borders the Vorpommern Boddenlandschaft National Park.
