Recke is a town in the district of Steinfurt, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The municipality of Recke has 11,394 inhabitants on an area of 53.62 km².
Recke is located on the north side of the Tecklenburger Land near the ridge with the name Ibbenbürener Bergplatte, which was partly created in the Carboniferous period. A large part of this ridge bears the name Schafberg; the western part is also called Dickenberg. Its southern neighboring municipality is Ibbenbüren.
