Hiltrup is the southernmost of the six districts of the city of Münster in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. As of December 31, 2019, the population was 38,247.
The Germanic Bructeri, according to archaeological research findings, inhabited several farms near the location of the current DEK at Hiltrup around the beginning of the Common Era. In the 12th century, Hiltrup developed around the St. Clemens Church. Since 1848, Hiltrup has had a station on the Hamm - Emden railway line.
