The railway depot Rheine is a former railway depot in Rheine. It has a long history and thus the city of Rheine can look back on a long railway tradition since the 19th century in the region.
The depot is historically divided into the areas of Bw Rheine shunting yard and passenger station. In 1964, both were merged. Geographically located in the northwest of North Rhine-Westphalia, adjacent to Lower Saxony, several intersecting lines were served in all directions. This gave Rheine the status of a junction station.
