The Peter Altmeier Monument in Koblenz is a monument in honor of the former Minister-President of Rhineland-Palatinate, Peter Altmeier. The monument, inaugurated in 1981, is located in the Mosel Gardens near the German Corner.
The design for the privately funded Peter Altmeier Monument comes from the Kusel artist Horst Schwab. He won the nationwide competition held in 1979 under the chairmanship of the President of the Landtag, Albrecht Martin. The monument was executed in the summer of 1981 by the sculptor Theo Rörig from Hettenleidelheim in the quarry of the Wassum company in Miltenberg am Main and erected on the banks of the Mosel. The inauguration took place on October 7, 1981, in the Mosel Gardens.
