The Roman and Bavarian Museum Burg Kipfenberg is an archaeological, folkloric, and local history museum in the market town of Kipfenberg in the Upper Bavarian district of Eichstätt. It is located in a former economic building of Burg Kipfenberg.
The focus of the museum is on the representation of the Roman era in the province of Raetia, the construction and fall of the Limes, the period of migration, and the time of the first Bavarians in the Altmühltal region. The museum was founded in 1999 by the Association of Friends and Supporters of the Roman and Bavarian Museum Burg Kipfenberg e.V. and operated until 2017. It is a partner museum of the State Collection of Archaeology in Munich. Since April 2018, the market community of Kipfenberg has taken over sole personnel and organizational responsibility for the museum. Since July 2006, the regional info point Limes has also been housed there.
