The Red Palace, built from 1821 to 1826, was one of the two main buildings of the so-called Residence Palace in Kassel, North Hesse. It contained the most important representative rooms of the electoral residence and was one of the most significant castles from the time of Classicism and Empire in Germany until its destruction in World War II.
