Pater und Nonne is a rock formation made of mass limestone in the Oestrich district of Iserlohn. The rock natural monument consists of two towers about 60 meters high. There is also the Grürmann cave, which is approximately five meters long today. According to legend, a monk and a nun lived here together without shedding their white monastic garments. When they threw a warning bishop into the Lenne, both were struck by lightning and turned to stone.
