The German Sielhafenmuseum Carolinensiel is a museum in the Wittmund district of Carolinensiel. It was opened on June 8, 1984, and is maintained by the Museumsverbund Ostfriesland.
On August 5, 1978, the director of the Maritime Museum Bremerhaven, Gert Schlechtriem, proposed the creation of the museum, which led to the founding of the Friends of the Sielhafenmuseum Carolinensiel association. The first chairman of the association was Ferich Eilts, who subsequently worked on acquiring exhibits.
