The postage stamp Zweiburgenblick in the Werratal was issued on February 3, 2011, by the Federal Ministry of Finance. It depicts the Zweiburgenblick near Wendershausen, referencing a historicist painting by Ernst Metz. The painting is titled "On the Old Postal Road Mühlhausen-Cassel at Ludwigstein AD 1796."
From the location in the Werratal near Wendershausen, two castles can be seen. To the left is Hanstein Castle, the stronghold of the Hanstein robbers, and to the right in front is Ludwigstein Castle. The latter was built by the Thuringian landgraves to contain the robbers.
