The Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit in Georgsmarienhütte-Oesede was built between 1961 and 1964.
The church is located in the southwest of Oesede. The Holy Spirit parish has about 2200 Catholics. The parish, which belongs to the Diocese of Osnabrück, forms a parish community with St. Peter and Paul, St. Maria Frieden and St. Johann/St. Marien. The Holy Spirit Church is the highest church in the parish community. Its Kreuzspitze has a height of 176.313 m above sea level, the church of Maria Frieden follows with 161.536 m.
