Lake Baltus is a quarry pond between the two East Westphalian towns of Minden and Porta Westfalica in North Rhine-Westphalia. The artificial lake created by gravel excavation is 33 hectares in size and 9 meters deep. It lies on the western bank of the Weser opposite the village of Neesen in the angle of the B 65 and B 61 federal roads. The municipal boundary runs through the lake: the northern part of the lake lies in the district of Minden, the southern part in the district of Barkhausen.
