The Mauritius-Gymnasium is a privately run Catholic school in Büren in the district of Paderborn, which is recognized by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The three-winged school building was built in the years from 1719 to 1728 as a Jesuit college by the master builder Gottfried Laurenz Pictorius with the participation of Johann Conrad Schlaun in the Baroque style. The funds for this came from the sale of the painting collection of the baron and namesake of the school, Moritz von Büren, on whose testamentary disposition and initiative the Jesuit College Büren was founded.
