The Römersee is a lake in the former nature reserve of the same name near Heiden. The NSG was designated in 1950 and had a size of 6.1 ha.
Today, the Römersee is mainly used as a settlement point for a campsite.
The Römersee is located about 3 km north of the village of Heiden, on the edge of the mountain range Die Berge, which can be attributed to the West Münsterland sand area. On its west side runs the K55, which leads from Heiden to Ramsdorf. To the east is a larger campsite and a weekend house settlement. To the north runs the B67.
