The museum has been housed in the Heimbach power plant, which is still in operation, since 1989. The completely preserved Art Nouveau building is unique in Europe.
In the power plant itself, the old brass fittings can be viewed alongside the turbines. In the adjacent building, electrical devices from the beginning of the 20th century are on display. From bottle warmers to cigarette lighters, historical electrical appliances of all kinds can be found here.
