The slaughterhouse at Paradiesstraße 19 was opened on July 3, 1901. It was owned by the city and operated in municipal management until about 1977, when it was sold to a private contractor who still operates it today.
The administration building is a two-story representative brick building in neo-Renaissance styles on a masonry base. The building features a corner tower-like projection with a double slate roof and a clock. The gable is a curved gable with obelisks on top.
