The Arabic Café in Düsseldorf was a long, oriental-looking building with several domes and a minaret. The building was constructed in 1895 by the architect Peters on the disused railway track of the Bergisch-Märkische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft. The restaurant building, with its extravagant architecture in "Moorish style" using colored glazed bricks, stood on a long but only 8 m deep plot of land. It gave the Graf-Adolf-Straße an Eastern accent around 1900 and clearly demonstrated the influence of the colonial era.
