The Kaiserstraße is a main traffic road in Wuppertal and a section of about 1.5 kilometers of the federal highway 228. In the district of Vohwinkel, it runs from the west, where it starts at the intersection Kaiserplatz. It continues as the B 228 as Vohwinkeler Straße. To the north, the Bahnstraße branches off at Kaiserplatz as federal highway 224 toward Vohwinkeler Bahnhof, and to the south, the Gräfrather Straße, also known as B 224. To the east, it ends at Eugen-Langen-Straße. The B 228 then crosses the Autobahn interchange Sonnborner Kreuz as Sonnborner Ufer road.
