The former Knappertsbusch distillery is a listed factory building in the Wuppertal district of Elberfeld-West. It was recognized as a historical monument on May 18, 2000.
In 1834, the farmer Johann Heinrich Knappertsbusch acquired the neighboring estate Am Schaffstal for 5400 Prussian talers and expanded it with a distillery. The later owner, Gustav Knappertsbusch, was the father of the conductor Hans Knappertsbusch.
