The subcamp of the Army Clothing Office in Bernau was built from 1939 to 1942 and used by the Wehrmacht between 1941 and 1945 for the production and storage of army uniforms and accessories. After the end of World War II, a supply and supply depot for the Soviet Forces Group in Germany was set up there.
The main office with the administration was located on Schwanebecker Chaussee. The former subcamp is located at Schönfelder Weg 17, directly on the Berlin-Prenzlau railway line, and the area is connected by train. In aerial or satellite images, the arch-shaped complex of the subcamp to the east, not far from the historic city center of Bernau, is clearly visible – it is about the same size.
