El almacén auxiliar de la oficina de vestimenta del ejército en Bernau fue construido entre 1939 y 1942 y utilizado por la Wehrmacht entre 1941 y 1945 para la fabricación y almacenamiento de uniformes y equipo militar. Tras el final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, aquí se estableció un depósito de suministros y suministros del grupo de las fuerzas soviéticas en Alemania.
La oficina central con administración estaba situada en la Chaussee de Schwanebecker. El antiguo almacén auxiliar se encuentra en Schönfelder Weg 17, justo al lado de la línea ferroviaria Berlín-Prenzlau, y el área tiene conexión ferroviaria. En imágenes aéreas o satelitales, se puede ver claramente la instalación en forma de arco del almacén auxiliar al este, no lejos del histórico núcleo urbano de Bernau – es aproximadamente del mismo tamaño.
