Wurschen, Sorbian, is a village with 318 inhabitants in the east of the Saxon district of Bautzen. The village is located in Upper Lusatia and is officially part of the Sorbian settlement area. Since 1994, it has belonged to the town of Weißenberg and is the most populous district after the old town.
Wurschen is located eleven kilometers east of Bautzen in the lowland of the Kotitzer Water at an elevation of 158 m above sea level. While the southern surroundings — towards Drehsa — are hilly, the flatter landscape to the north of Wurschen is characterized by numerous watercourses, the most important of which are the Kotitzer and Löbauer Waters.
